Coin quantum walks in ion traps and in superconducting circuit quantum electrodynamics

Quantum walks with coins are produced experimentally and inspire the creation of new quantum algorithms. Coin quantum walks exploit entanglement between a walker and a two-level system acting as a coin to generate quantum walks. I will discuss coin quantum walks in ion traps and in superconducting circuit quantum electrodynamics and end with a consideration of a quantum walk with two walkers sharing one coin.
